The Society is open to all descendants of commissioned military officers on the North American Continent during the period of the earliest habitation and the independence of each respective territory. Often persons conclude that independence occurred when it was declared rather than when it was actually gained. Please confirm your ancestor’s country of residence for the respective deadlines as verified under the category of Membership. Note that all commissioned military officers during the respective period are qualified to include, but not limited to local and state militia. Thank you for the opportunity to share with you more in the categories of Commander’s Staff, Membership, Insignia of the Society, Ancestors, Events, Forms and Contact Us.
Objects of the Society
The Objects of the Society are charitable and educational and shall specifically serve to encourage the study of Continental Colonial Officers, who held a military commission. Deadline dates have been established for Canada on 1 July 1867, Mexico on 24 August 1821 and the United States of America on 30 November 1782. Other territories on the North American Continent will be included as eligible ancestors are verified. Objects serve to accomplish research; preserve manuscripts, wills, deeds, and other documents; support the restoration of sites and landmarks having charitable, literary, educational, historical, or governing backgrounds; and to promote patriotism for the respective members' countries.
