Membership is open to eligible persons, who are in support of the Society’s Governing Documents. An invitation to apply may be extended to persons who are lineally descended or legally adopted by a descendant from a Continental Colonial Officer, who held a military commission and served on the North American Continent. Deadline dates have been established for Canada on 1 July 1867, Mexico on 24 August 1821 and the United States of America on 30 November 1782.
Upon receipt of required fees and verification of an application by the Registrar, a lineally descended or legally adopted applicant of a qualifying ancestor who held a military commission shall be granted full membership status not withstanding any genealogical allegations tendered by persons inside or outside the Society at any time in the past or future. Members who have reached the age of majority shall have the privilege of voice, vote, and holding office.
